Boss Seats PDF Print E-mail

I have done a lot of after market stuff with my machines over the years :-D  but the best thing I have added by far is my new seat. I can honestly say that i would never buy a snow machine again without outfitting it with the boss seat.

Boss Seat on XP

It is a very stiff seat, more so than anything I've ever ridden on and is a little shocking when you first sit on it, but man is it ever comfortable and you will never feel the chasis or tank no matter what way you land. I actually had a very sore tailbone last year after landing sideways and my arse hit the side of the seat and smashed against the corner of the tank/chasis.

It is a lot higher and for anyone that likes standup riding makes the transition so much easier. Installation was pretty easy but you have to cut the plastic hold down pieces on your tank. You can do it another way as outlined on a thread in Dootalk where you actually cut the seat and the pieces insert into the seat but I did not do this.

It also gives you more storage with a pocket in the back and you can still use the gas rack. Looks good, feels good, and a must have IMO.

I got mine at the Rugged Edge in Corner Brook, a site sponser.

After three years of having the a GMAX M2000 series helmet strapped on my dome it was time to upgrade to a new lid… but what to buy?

There are dozens of helmet manufacturers out there; each offering their own twist on the snow cross styling that has become increasingly popular over the past few years. After looking at the latest offerings from Thor, HJC and Ski-Doo (being a Renegade owner) it was hard to pass up the sharp lines and light price tag on the KBC Super-X series… namely the White Spark with a matte finish.

Ski-Doo’s first performance four-stroke a torque monster

BRP 1200 4-Tec With numerous advances being made to improve fuel efficiency and lower emissions in their two-stroke line-up over the past number of years, Ski-Doo seemed like the only manufacturer of the industry’s big four not to embrace four-stroke technology.

The anticipated arrival of the 600 e-tec and the disappointing performance characteristics of Ski-Doo’s earlier V-800 four-stroke, only strengthened the belief among sledding enthusiasts that BRP would continue to invest their R&D dollars in the two-cycle engine.

Equinox TrailBoggan PDF Print E-mail

The sport of snowmobiling allows unlimited opportunities to get afield and enjoy the best ol' man winter has to offer. Unless you live right in the heartland of snowmobile country (along the province's western and northern coasts) the best snowmobiling will likely mean making long trips carrying lots of gear and supplies to support your recreation. If you prefer to stay in remote cabins or 'camps' , as I do, rather than the various hotels, motels and cottages along the roadway, you'll need a way to transport your precious cargo into camp.

Enter the 'TrailBoggan'. Manufactured by Equinox Industries, this is one light-weight work horse. Tough as nails, "it takes a beating yet comes up a gleaming"! Long and sleek, it tracks effortlessly behind a hitched sled. Its base narrows to just 16" allowing it to tuck behind the snowmobile track, happy to be along for the ride. With its low center of gravity it does not suffer from the 'ghosting' on turns that wider base boggans do.
